Only difference in my setup is I have a 9650. Are you using a step down for the 9257? Is your gyro setup correctly in rate mode?

sean, what type of gyro ur using. i'm using 401 +9257.. Still hunting for solid tail.. When i punch, my tail still drift. it hard for me to try hard 3d. if u using 401, how ur setup?

At that time setup was AON 3500 KV motor, Align 22c battery, Align 35x esc, 13t pionion. No I'm not running an external bec. Right now I'm running the Scorpion HK 2221-6 motor but to be quite honest, it's really hard to do low 3d on it because there is so much power.
