I say we don't drill until all the OIl in the Middle East and in Asia yes their is OIl in Asia is basiclly gone where their lucky to get 3 gallons then when they ask for our Alaskan Oil we put a price tag making it 500 bucks and we can use that money to fund Scientists here and in Europe to find a new energy that our homes and cars can run on

I say we should start drilling only when the Oil reservers in the middle east and parts of Asia are down to drops because then who will the world turn too then we can make the price of OIl 504 dollars a barrel will get rich then we can use all that money to invest in Science too make Solar Energy a feasable source of energy

How much oil do you know that we have. How easy is it to get to. If we were to compare our oil resources with that of the middle east is it greater than or less than that possessed by the Arabian states. Besides, why would any private company sell americans oil in the first place. They could sell to other countries for better profit. Unless Americans are willing to pay more per gallon for gas than anyone else in the world, we would not touch a DROP

Those poor caribou don't have a visa or green card, otherwise they would probably legally cross into Canada and become legal Canadian residents. But until they abide by Canadian immigration laws for caribou, then I guess they are stuck there in tiny little Alaska. I hear that it is the woman caribou's right to "choice" to abort her unborn caribou. But it is considered murder to shoot a caribou for dinner for thy stomach's sake,in self defense,as an act of self-preservation against starvation.

Did you know if we tapped into our own oil right now our price per gallon would go down to 1.29 right now. Plus our oil would last over 200 years before we would even think about running out. But you know we would have something far different way before the oil ever ran out.

Thank you so much for responding to my video "HEMP B4 DRILLING" I am a registered Independent and I know no caribou. But I do know that the hemp plant (Cannabis Sativa) can be used to provide shelter, food, medicine, fiber, fuel and thousands of other uses with minimal impact on our planet so I ask, can fossil fuel do the same? peace out, MjD

The Farmer's Almanac says we are headed into a half century period of cooling. August 2008 was the first month in 100 years with no sun spot activity. I hope Al Gore lives long enough to be laughed at by little children for his idiotic global warming manipulation campaign. Natural Gas for our cars within 7 years. More nuclear within 7 years and stop burning dirty coal and natural gas in our power plants. Drill now to help us get through the next 7 years until we can change over to more natural gas in our cars. 19 times in the recent years the democrats defeated attempts for an energy package to be passed and its time we get on with it before we go broke with $10 a gallon gas. Do they deserve to get elected in November ? NO

Yes, we do need to look into new sources of energy, like wind, solar, geothermal, fuel cells, etc. However, none of these technologies are cheap enough to allow us to make the transition right now. It will take several years to further research these technologies and make them cheap enough for the general public. In the meantime, we need to start using our own oil supply so we can stop worrying so much about OPEC and Hugo Chavez and instead focus our effors on developing new energy sources.

6. If we start drilling now the price won't go down for a long time. FACT: The speculation market makes predictions based on what is happening right now. When Bush lifted the federal moratorium on drilling, the price per barrel dropped over $9. When Bush was pressuring Congress to vote on the issue, the price dropped almost $25 per barrel. If the speculators see that we are serious about this issue and are drilling now, they will predict more oil in the future and the price will go down.

5. There is an enormous risk of more oil spills if we expand offshore drilling. FACT: The vast majority of oil spills are from foreign tankers bringing oil here from other countries. Our own oil drilling facilities rarely have such incidents. For example, during hurricane Katrina, the 3,200 oil platforms off the coast of Louisiana didn't spill ANY oil.

4. Drilling offshore and in ANWR would be destructive to the wildlife. FACT: In the areas of Alaska where we are drilling, the animal population has actually increased. There is 50 times as much sea life around the oil platforms off the coast of Louisiana than in the surrounding area. The corral reefs around the oil platforms off the coast of California are much healthier than the reefs in other parts of the California coast.

3. The US only has a tiny percentage of the world's oil supply so drilling won't have an affect on the price. FACT: The Green River area alone has 800 BILLION barrels worth of oil shale, or 3 times the proven reserves of Saudi Arabia. This is in addition to the oil in the OCS, ANWR, and the recently-discovered oil pool beneath Montana and North Dakota.

Allow me to debunk a few lies the Democrats have fed to you: 1. The oil companies don't drill on all their land because they like the high price. FACT: Much of this land they own is either mostly devoid of oil or is nearly impossible to drill on. 2. It will take at least 10 years to get any oil. FACT: That number is completely bogus. We could have oil from the OCS in less than two years and have oil from ANWR in less than 5 years.
